Oktoberfest - NEW LOWER PRICE!

Oktoberfest

Prosit in Columbus!

4 Days / 3 Nights

What better way to kick off the autumn harvest than a festive Oktoberfest in Columbus, OH. As one of Columbus’ longest running events, enjoy the season with delicious food, drinks and games. This year’s Oktoberfest will feature three stages of German music and contemporary bands; a marktplatz with more than 100 arts, crafts, and commercial vendors with local and international products; stages for live music and polka dancing; and a wide variety of great food and beer options.

Additionally, three giant halls in the city’s Expo Center resemble beer halls of Germany and provide more than 100,000 square feet of covered space, making the Columbus Oktoberfest one of the only "weatherproof" outdoor events in Columbus.

Day 1

What better way to kick off the autumn harvest than a festive Oktoberfest in Columbus, OH. As one of Columbus' longest running events, enjoy the season with delicious food, drinks and games. This year's Oktoberfest will feature three stages of German music and contemporary bands; a marktplatz with more than 100 arts, crafts, and commercial vendors with local and international products; stages for live music and polka dancing; and a wide variety of great food and beer options. Additionally, three giant halls in the city's Expo Center resemble beer halls of Germany and provide more than 100,000 square feet of covered space, making the Columbus Oktoberfest one of the only "weatherproof" outdoor events in Columbus. Motoring our way through Indiana the first overnight will be in the Indianapolis, IN area.

Day 2

We depart for Columbus this morning after breakfast. Upon arrival, a local guide will join us for a driving tour of the city. Named for the explorer Christopher Columbus, the city was founded in 1812 and became the state's capital in 1816. Following our driving tour, enjoy a German-style luncheon at the locally famous Schmidt's German Restaurant. Accommodations will be at the Drury Inn & Suites nearby for the next two nights. Enjoy the property's hospitality for breakfast and evening snacks and drinks. The motor coach will shuttle participants to the Oktoberfest location. Your tour director will share the schedule with you at time of travel.

Day 3

There's much to see in this southwestern corner of Ohio. The Geroux Herb Gardens in the nearby town of Gahanna. Gahanna is a city with a long history of cultivating herbs. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, its residents earned a reputation for the quality and quantity of herbs they grew, earning Gahanna the nickname the Herb Capital of Ohio. Stroll through a variety of herbal gardens namely, the Culinary Garden, Scented Garden, Shade Garden, Rock/Biblical Garden, Pond Garden and Medicinal Garden. The Brother's Drake Meadery is an urban producer of mead, wines made from honey. Sourced from local wildflower honey and only sold in the Greater Columbus area. Their product is a delicious modern take on an ancient tradition. Once again our bus will shuttle festival goers this evening, to and from the Oktoberfest locations upon our return to the hotel.
