Niagara Falls Thunder

Day 1 : Maumee, OH

Your Niagara Falls Thunder adventure begins boarding a deluxe Lamers Motorcoach and welcomed by professional Tour Diredctor and Driver. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the changing scenery as you travel east through the Midwest toward Ohio. Along the way, a lunch stop will be made in Indiana. As the journey continues, enter Eastern Time Zone and begin anticipated exciting days ahead! This evening, arriving into Maumee, Ohio, and check-in to the Hampton Inn Toldedo-South/Maumee, where you can unwind and enjoy the amenities of your host hotel before tomorrow's travels.

Day 2: Niagara Falls

After enjoying a hot breakfast at the hotel, depart for an exciting day featuring history, scenery, and the beauty of the Great Lakes region. This afternoon, experience the fascinating Lockport Locks & Eric Canal Cruise with inlcuded lunch, where you will discover the engineering marvel that connected the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. Followiing the cruise, continue onward to spectacular Niagara Falls and check into the beautifullly located Holiday Inn Niagara Falls State Park Entry by IHG for a rexlaxing three-night stay. Located just steps from Niagara Falls State Park, the hotel offers comfortable accommodations and convenient access to restaurants, attractions, and scenic viewpoints. Dinner is on your own tonight with numerous dining options within walking distance.

Day 3: Niagara Falls

Today, we begin exploring the region, including The Observation Deck which extends out dramatically over Niagara Gorge, The Gorge is an architectural wonder with unobstructed views of the wild cascading waters of Niagara Falls, as well as the raging whitewater below. Today, we have a professional guide to show us the sights of this great region. We then descend on the adjacent elevator to the dock of the favorite Niagara Falls attraction for more than 150 years. Next, we marvel at the beautiful plantings and the amazing Floral Clock. The intricate designs on the face of this floral masterpiece are created with thousands of bedding plants and changed out twice each year.

The Maid of the Mist cruise journey begins with donning your souvenir rain poncho and boarding the double-decker tour boat. From there, the boat ferries past the base of the American Falls, and onto the basin of Horseshoe Falls as this dramatic passage leads you through roiling whitewater and massive rock formations.

Lunch today is included overlooking the Falls at Fallsview Grand Buffet. A fantastic day well-spent with your professional local guide.

Day 4: Niagara Falls

Our local guide will join us again, taking us on a tour of the White Water Walk and then we head out on a short drive to quaint, Victorian Niagara-on-the-Lake. Nestled just beyond the falls, this picturesque town epitomizes old world charm. It's bordered by arbor-framed streets and lush boulevard gardens plus hear the clip-clop of horses as carriages go by.
After our tour it's time for lunch and shopping on your own in the historic district. The Niagara Apothecary is an authentic museum restoration of an 1869 pharmacy as part of a practice that operated in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, from 1820-1964.

Next, a scenic drive to Peller Estates Winery for a tour and tasting. This area of New York state is home to a burgeoning wine region. The cool climate and rolling hills and valleys make for a one-of-a-kind terroir and is home to small and large producers alike, with numerous varieties of grapes.

Our last evening in Niagara is a special one. We have an included dinner with incredible views at the famous Skyline Tower. A truly special evening and memory to be had.

Day 5: Maumee, OH

Time to pack our bags for the journey out of Niagara.

After we make tracks back westward, we stop for an included lunch at the Hofbrauhaus in Cleveland, Ohio. Next, we have tickets to visit of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, before we continue to motor to our final rest tonight in Maumee, Ohio. On our own, we are free to enjoy the local amenities and nearby eateries at the Hampton Inn Toledo-South/ Maumee.

Day 6: Home
