Join your Lamers Motorcoach and meet your dedicated Tour Director and Professional Licensed Driver, as you journey north through the rolling farmlands of Wisconsin and the lush forests of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, anticipation builds for a relaxing escape. Upon arrival in Mackinaw City, you settle into the comfortable Hamilton Inn, ready to rest before the ferry carries you across the sparkling Straits of Mackinac to your island home.

 

The next morning, a scenic ferry ride across the sparkling Straits of Mackinac brings you to the enchanting island. Downtown Bicycle Street Inn awaits, ideally situated within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the waterfront, allowing you to immerse yourself in the island’s charm immediately. Upon arrival, your luggage is transported to the hotel while you begin your adventure with a narrated horse-drawn carriage tour. This leisurely excursion introduces you to iconic sights such as Arch Rock, Skull Cave, Surrey Hill, and historic Market Street. Afterward, indulge in an included  leisurely lunch at the Grand Hotel, where the elegance of this historic landmark and sweeping views of Lake Huron make every bite memorable. Returning to the Bicycle Street Inn, you have time to explore downtown, browse charming boutiques, sample world-famous fudge, or simply relax by the harbor.

 

On your own, you can savor the world-famous Mackinac Island fudge, explore historic Fort Mackinac, and visit Marquette Park or the Mission Church for quiet reflection. With the convenience of the downtown inn, combined with the slow rhythm of the island, every day offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and relaxation, creating a timeless escape that will leave lasting memories.

Day 1: Mackinaw City

Journey to Mackinaw City
As you travel north, the gentle hills of Wisconsin give way to towering hardwood forests, and the anticipation of your island adventure builds. Onboard Lamer’s Motorcoach, your professional driver navigates the scenic route while your dedicated tour director shares stories, insights, and tips to enhance your journey. Upon arrival in Mackinaw City, you check in at the Hamilton Inn, a comfortable base for your first night. The evening is yours to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront, admire the Mackinac Bridge, or dine at a nearby restaurant suggested by your tour director, all in preparation for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Mac. Island

Ferry to Mackinac Island & Carriage Tour
Board the ferry and feel the refreshing breeze off Lake Huron as the island emerges on the horizon. Upon arrival, you check in at Bicycle Street Inn, ideally located in the heart of downtown Mackinac Island, just steps from charming shops, delightful restaurants, and the waterfront. Your luggage is transported directly to the hotel, allowing you to begin your island adventure immediately. Embark on a narrated horse-drawn carriage tour, discovering scenic and historic highlights such as Arch Rock, Skull Cave, Surrey Hill, and historic Market Street. After the tour, enjoy a leisurely lunch at the Grand Hotel, renowned for its elegance, sweeping lake views, and world-class cuisine. Day 3: Mac. Island

Island Leisure & Gentle Exploration
With the pace of the island encouraging relaxation, the day is yours to explore as you wish. Gentle bicycle rides along the island loop, additional carriage rides through shaded wooded trails, or visits to historic Fort Mackinac provide both leisure and discovery. Take quiet moments in Marquette Park or along the shoreline, or wander through charming art galleries and boutique shops. The traffic-free streets, clip-clop of horses, and sparkling lake views create a perfect backdrop for reflection, photography, or simply soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

Farewell & Return to the Mainland
Board the ferry one last time and watch the island fade into the distance, carrying memories of horse-drawn carriages, historic streets, and sparkling waters.
