Day 3

Enjoy a full breakfast at the Inn before heading out for our guided Amish Farm Tour. This 90-minute tour will take you deep into the heart of the oldest Amish community in the world where you'll marvel at some of the most beautiful farmland you'll ever set eyes upon. These are the same fertile fields that attracted and have kept our Amish neighbors here for over 250 years. After our tour, a grand luncheon will be consumed at Plain & Fancy. Amish favorites will certainly be served. Following, view the multi-media film Jacob's Choice in the Amish Experience Theater. The history and origins of the Amish are explored through a contemporary Rumspringa storyline. Then wander the heritage site Amish Country Homestead which offers a glimpse into the how and why of an Amish house and school. Our full day of touring concludes with the spectacular performance of Moses in the amazing Sight & Sound Theatre right here in Lancaster.

Day 4

The heartland of our country has produced many famous and influential notaries and the Lancaster area is no different. This morning stroll through Pennsylvania-native President Buchanan's Wheatland Mansion and grounds. James Buchanan, 15th president of the U.S. purchased this Federal style home along with 22 acres of land in 1848. Lunch will be a mesmerizing experience at the huge Miller's Smorgasbord filled with homemade goodness. We then ride the rails on the delightful Strasburg Railway. This authentic steam train takes travelers through Lancaster county's Amish countryside. Adjacent to the station wander the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. It's devoted to telling the rich stories of railroading in the Commonwealth, including not just the railroads, but also its manufacturers, support industries, workers, and travelers - then and now. Awaiting us later this evening is a great meal and live performance at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater.
