Shedd Aquarium

Travel with us to Chicago as we visit the world’s largest indoor aquarium, the John G. Shedd Aquarium.

Beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Shedd houses more than 32,500 animals representing some 1,500 species of fishes, amphibians, invertebrates, & mammals.  From whales to snails, you will meet creatures from aquatic habitats around the world.

Meet the sharks at the Wild Reef. Enjoy floor-to-ceiling exhibit windows, giving you a diver’s-eye view of the coral reef, home to more than 500 species of fish.  Celebrate the unbelievable beauty living in our oceans, lakes and rivers in their special exhibit “Underwater Beauty” with over 100 species.

Enjoy free time to explore the Aquarium Galleries & Caribbean Reef, where you can follow sea turtles and sharks around the 360-degree, 90,000-gallon habitat.

Shedd's mission is to spark compassion, curiosity and conservation for the aquatic animal world.

This fascinating aquarium will live on in your imagination long after you return home.

Please note: We will be making a break in both directions.
