Lake Geneva Cruise delivering mail.
View Dates & BookSpend a beautiful day in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, centered around one of the areas most iconic and historic experiences.
We will board the famous Lake Geneva Mailboat Tour for a relaxing 2.5 hour cruise on the lake, a tradition that dates back to 1916. This is one of the last remaining boat mail delivery routes in the United States, and it continues almost exactly as it did over a century ago.
During the cruise, you will see the legendary mail jumpers leap from the moving boat onto private piers to deliver mail to lakeside homes, then jump back on as the boat continues along the shoreline. These skilled jumpers train extensively to master the timing and balance required, making this both a fascinating and entertaining part of the tour. As you glide across the water, you will also enjoy narrated stories about Lake Genevas rich history, famous summer estates, and the families who shaped this resort town into what it is today.
After the cruise, we will head to Popeyes on Lake Geneva for an included lunch of 1/4 rotisserie chicken with chef's choice of side, coleslaw, homemade chocolate chip cookie, and soda or coffee. This longtime local favorite offers classic American fare in a comfortable lakeside setting, perfect for unwinding after our time on the water.
Following lunch, enjoy free time to explore Main Street at your own pace. Browse unique shops, enjoy ice cream or coffee, or simply stroll and take in the charming atmosphere of downtown Lake Geneva.
We will make a short dinner stop on the way home to wrap up the day. Please note there will be no stop on the way to Lake Geneva due to the early boat departure, so plan accordingly. This tour offers a wonderful mix of history, scenery, and relaxed exploration in one of Wisconsins most beloved lake towns.
