Chicago Weekend Shopping Trip **NEW SCHEDULE**
December 5-6, 2026
Enjoy a festive 2-day, 1-night holiday getaway to Schaumburg, filled with twinkling lights, seasonal aromas, and joyful shopping moments. Travel in comfort and style aboard included transportation via a luxury motorcoach with professional driver. Meet your jolly Tour Director, who keeps everything running along while sharing helpful insights along the way.
Day 1 - Chicago HOLIDAY Magic
Join your Lamers motorcoach and meet your driver and cheerful tour director. Leading the way, we'll travel straight to Chicago's Daley Plaza to experience the renowned Christkindlmarket, the largest German Holiday Market outside of Germany. This festive, open-air market offers a truly unique shopping experience, featuring an array of handcrafted goods such as jewelry, clothing, ornaments, home decor, and traditional nutcrackers. You'll also find a delightful selection of sweet and savory treats that capture the flavors of the season.
The fun doesn't stop here - with the entire afternoon dedicated to all things Downtown Chicago, there is no limit of retail therapy in store for the next two days. Be sure to wear reliable, safe and comfortable footwear! Choose from the many shops along the very famous, and with good reason, Magnificent Mile. From Harry Potter Store, to American Girl Place, to the FIVE story Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Cafe', spare no time browsing selections upon selections of merchandise and finds.
Later this evening, we motor to our hotel at the Quality Inn Schaumburg, with featured included amenities such as an indoor heated pool, hot tub, Premium Free WiFi, and Fitness Center - it's the perfect place to unwind and relax after a great day at play. And with several restaurants located within walking distance of the hotel, we are well on our way to a relaxing evening.
To cap the evening, a Welcome Reception has been arranged with refreshment and light snacks, the perfect way to unwind and mingle after a festive day in the city.
Rest of the evening is dedicated entirely for rest and to enjoy the shopping moments made today.
Day 2 -Holiday Shopping in Schaumburg
After included hot breakfast, drop your bags off at 9am and step into the lively energy of Schaumburg's premier shopping destinations. Wander through Woodfield Mall, where glowing holiday decor, cheerful music, and the aroma of fresh pretzels and sweet cinnamon treats create a cozy seasonal atmosphere. Browse sparking storefronts filled with fashion, gifts, festive finds while shoppers bustle beneath twinkling lights and oversided holiday displays.
Continue for an optional stop to IKEA, where beautifully staged rooms inspire holilday entertaining and Scandinavian touches add warmth, charm and practicality to the experience. Sip a warm coffee, hunt for unique home accents, and enjoy the simple excitement of discovering the perfect holiday treasures before departing for home filled with festive memories, and of course, shopping bags in tow.

DAY 1: Chicago

You'll also find a delightful selection of sweet and savory treats that capture the flavors of the season.
If that's not enough to satisfy your Holiday shopping cravings, perhaps enjoy the plethora of shops on the incredible and famous - Magnificent Mile! Featuring over 460 retailers from the Harry Potter Shop, American Girl Place, LEGO Store, Vosges Haut-Chocolat, Apple Store to the hidden gems and boutiques from the likes of Mary Mary Gifts, Alexandra Marks, Silver Room Design Lab, PIstachios Contemporary Jewelry and much much more.
If that's still not enough, the Magnificent Mile is lined with shopping centers that line Michigan Avenue such as The 900 North Michigan Shops that house 70 boutiques including Bloomingdale's, Gucci, Max Mara, and J. Crew all under one roof. Water Tower Place holds 100 stores including Chicago-themed restaurants, and The Shops at North Bridge include over 50 stores and 20 restaurants, featuring Nordstrom, Room & Board, Aesop and many other popular chains. Needless to say, there is no lack of shopping opportunities and exploring on this weekend adventure.
Later this early evening, after shopping, we motor to our hotel to enjoy amenities at the Quality Inn Schaumburg, Illinois, including a pool, hot tub, and exersize room. Several restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. A Welcome Reception with refreshment and light snacks have been arranged for our group.
Tonight, relax and enjoy the rest of the festive evening at the hotel - go ahead, put your feet up. You deserve it!
DAY 2: Schaumburg
After our included hot breakfast buffet, drop your bags off at 9:00 AM and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. With included transportation, we make our way to the fantastic Woodfield Mall, one of the largest shopping destinations in the United States. Surround yourself with fashion, food and fun with nearly 300 stores and restaurants. Woodfield Mall is home to Noordstrom, Macy's, and JCPenney, complemented by many of today's most popoular retailers.
Our next stop (optional) is the Swedish retailer, IKEA, offering a wide range of stylish home furnishings at great prices. Featuring Scandinavian-inspired modern furniture and accessories, IKEA has everything for the home - from storage solutions and lighting to décor products, kitchen essentials, bathroom accessories, outdoor items, and much more.
We'll wrap up our Chicago Holiday Shopping trip filled with festive sights, seasonal treats, and one-of-a-kind shopping as we make our way home - leaving you with cherished memories and a heart full of holiday spirit.
