Our first stop we head to Faris Gourmet Popcorn in Fond du Lac . They make small batch high-quality popcorn made from only premium ingredients, with many delicious flavors that are popped daily for you. Everyone will get a sample bag to take home!

But don’t fill up too soon, because next we are going to  Red Cabin at Green Acres in Fond du Lac for an included lunch of chicken, beef tips, mashed potatoes, sides, and mini bread pudding.

After lunch we will go into Oshkosh to The Paine Art Center. Explore the 20 decorated settings and 70 Christmas trees  in the historic Paine mansion. On self-guided tours, journey through more than 20 rooms and spaces elaborately decorated as the fantastic scenes of the Nutcracker story. On the first floor, each setting features a large storybook with illustrations that reveal a portion of the fairy tale. On the second floor, the rooms portray the home and lifestyle of the Stahlbaum family, as well as the workshop of Godfather Drosselmeyer and a wide variety of finely crafted wooden Nutcrackers. Throughout both floors, more than 60 mischievous mice are hidden within the settings.

Our final stop for the day will be the Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church  in Oshkosh to see their vast collection of nativity scenes with a guided tour. This is one of the largest permanently displayed collections  in the entire world. The 1,000-plus sets  were gathered by one church member, Mildred Turner, a retired kindergarten teacher from Omro. They range in size from five feet tall to smaller than your thumb and reflect a myriad of cultures.
