Day 3: Dumfries, VA

Prepare for a day filled with meaning, remembrance, and reflection. This morning begins with a heartfelt visit to the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico. Upon arrival, a dedicated volunteer from the Missing in America Project (MIAP) will greet us and guide our experience. As you walk among the meticulously aligned gravestones, you’ll gain insight into the cemetery’s layout and the two distinct types of markers used. In Section 22, you’ll learn about MIAP’s mission to locate, identify, and provide proper burial for unclaimed veterans. Here, we’ll have the honor of placing flags at the gravesites of these once-forgotten heroes—a moving act of remembrance that concludes with time for questions and a group photo.

Next, we head to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, where immersive exhibits take you through the history, sacrifice, and valor of U.S. Marines. Follow the journey from boot camp to battlefields across generations—from WWII and Korea to Vietnam and beyond. A delicious included lunch at the museum café provides time to rest and reflect on all we’ve seen and learned.

In the afternoon, we continue to Virginia Beach, with a stop along the way to stretch and refresh. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our oceanfront hotel—your home for the next few nights. Day 4:Virginia Beach

Today’s itinerary is a true celebration of aviation, music, and maritime marvels. We begin at the renowned Military Aviation Museum, set on 130 acres of open fields and vintage runways. Home to one of the world’s largest collections of flyable military aircraft from World War I and World War II, this museum brings aviation history to life in the most thrilling way. Wander through massive hangars filled with beautifully restored warbirds, explore original-era buildings, and take in the stories of pilots and planes that shaped history. Whether you're an aviation buff or just love a good story, this stop is a crowd-pleaser.

Midday, enjoy a delightful included lunch and live entertainment right at the museum. Tap your toes as Frank Sings Frank—the charismatic Frank Cubillo—serenades the group with timeless hits from Frank Sinatra and the Great American Songbook. His smooth voice and nostalgic flair set the perfect tone for this vintage setting.

This afternoon, we take to the water aboard the Victory Rover Naval Base Cruise. Settle in for a scenic and informative journey along the Elizabeth River, where you’ll witness the awe-inspiring scale of the world’s largest naval base. Get an up-close look at the Atlantic Fleet’s impressive lineup of destroyers, submarines, aircraft carriers, and support ships—an unforgettable sight for anyone interested in military or maritime history.

After returning to shore, you’ll have free time to enjoy the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Take a sunset stroll, browse the shops, or simply sit by the water and soak in the ocean breeze.

This evening, we gather for an included dinner at a local restaurant, sharing stories and laughter as we reflect on a day filled with wonder, nostalgia, and inspiration. Then it’s back to the hotel for a restful night—sweet dreams!

Day 5:Virginia Beach

Today is the highlight of your patriotic journey—an unforgettable blend of naval heritage, international celebration, and world-class performance.

We begin at Nauticus and the Battleship Wisconsin, nestled along the beautiful Norfolk waterfront. This dynamic maritime center invites you to explore the impact of naval power and ocean innovation through interactive exhibits, STEM displays, and immersive galleries. Step aboard the mighty USS Wisconsin, one of the last and largest battleships built by the U.S. Navy, and walk in the footsteps of sailors who once served aboard. Whether you're fascinated by maritime technology or captivated by naval history, this experience delivers both insight and inspiration.

Next, get ready for a burst of color, culture, and camaraderie at the Parade of Nations—the only one of its kind in the United States honoring NATO. With over 100 parade units, including military bands, cultural groups, and vibrant floats representing all NATO member nations, this event is a celebration of unity, diversity, and international pride. You'll enjoy reserved seating, giving you the best views in comfort.

After the parade, head over to the NATO Fest International Village, where you’ll have lunch on your own. Sample a variety of global cuisines, browse artisan crafts, and take in the festive ambiance as nations from around the world come together in a true cultural showcase.

This afternoon, take a meaningful step back into U.S. history with a visit to the MacArthur Memorial. Located in Norfolk’s historic city hall, this museum honors the life and legacy of General Douglas MacArthur. Through thought-provoking exhibits, personal artifacts, and wartime history, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for MacArthur’s military service and the soldiers who served under his command from World War I through the Korean War.

Tonight, enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant before settling in for the main event: the Virginia International Tattoo. Held in the grand Scope Arena, this stirring spectacle features more than 1,000 performers from around the globe—military bands, precision drill teams, pipers, dancers, and vocalists—all united in a breathtaking celebration of service, honor, and international friendship. With its soul-stirring music and precision pageantry, the Tattoo is a moving tribute that will stay with you long after the curtain falls.

After this unforgettable evening, return to the hotel for a well-earned rest. Goodnight, and thank you for being part of such a powerful day.

After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace—browse the local shops, savor lunch at one of the beachfront cafes, or take a peaceful stroll along the soft sands and ocean waves.

It’s a day of leisure, entirely your own—perfect for unwinding, reflecting, or soaking up the coastal atmosphere. Dinner is on your own this evening, giving you the opportunity to dine wherever your appetite leads—whether it's fresh seafood, classic American fare, or something more adventurous along the boardwalk.

Day 7: Somerset, PA

Your morning begins with a tranquil visit to the Norfolk Botanical Garden, a stunning 175-acre retreat bursting with natural beauty. Stroll through over 60 themed gardens—from vibrant rose displays and global-inspired landscapes to peaceful woodland trails where birds and butterflies abound. Whether you're a plant lover, photography enthusiast, or simply in need of a quiet moment, this serene oasis offers something for everyone.

After soaking in the beauty of the gardens, we’ll journey north toward our final overnight stop in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Along the way, we’ll pause for a meal and rest break (on your own), giving you a chance to stretch your legs and grab a bite.

As we arrive in Somerset, enjoy an included dinner and time to relax before settling into the hotel for the night. It’s a perfect moment to reflect on the memories made and friendships formed throughout this unforgettable adventure.

Day 8: Indianapolis

Your day begins with a solemn visit to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, a place of reflection and remembrance dedicated to the courageous passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93. On September 11, 2001, the flight was hijacked as part of a coordinated terrorist attack. Upon learning of the other attacks, the passengers and crew heroically fought back against the hijackers, ultimately preventing the plane from reaching its intended target. The plane crashed into a field, tragically claiming the lives of all on board, but their bravery saved countless others. This memorial honors their sacrifice and serves as a powerful tribute to the resilience and spirit of humanity in the face of unimaginable adversity.

After this deeply moving visit, we’ll continue our journey westward, with a stop for a meal and rest along the way (on your own). As evening approaches, we’ll reach Indianapolis, Indiana, where you’ll check into your hotel. The evening is free for you to enjoy dinner on your own and unwind after a meaningful day of remembrance.

As the motorcoach travels through changing scenery, we’ll stop midday for lunch (on your own) — a chance to stretch, grab a bite, and reflect on the experiences and friendships made along the way. A brief break later in the day will ensure everyone stays refreshed as we continue our journey home. As we approach our final destination, take a moment to exchange contact information with new friends, share a few last laughs, and savor the lasting impressions of a trip filled with history, honor, and meaningful connections.
