Day 1 Tucson

Let the sunshine and adventure begin! Your Arizona escape kicks off with ease and comfort as Lamers whisks you from your home to the Milwaukee airport. Tonight, settle in and unwind at a nearby airport hotel—enjoy a restful evening on your own as you prepare for the sun-drenched journey ahead.

Day 2: Tucson

We’ll head to Milwaukee’s airport for our included flight to sunny Phoenix. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride—your adventure begins the moment we take off. Upon arrival at Sky Harbor International Airport, your comfortable coach awaits to bring us towards Tucson, where desert beauty and Southwestern charm await.

As the golden sun begins to set behind the mountains, gather with your fellow travelers for a festive welcome dinner. It’s the perfect time to toast to the journey ahead, share a few laughs, and settle into the spirit of the Southwest before turning in for a well-earned rest.

Day 3: Tucson

After breakfast, we journey back in time to the legendary town of Tombstone—where tales of outlaws, lawmen, and dusty duels still echo through the streets. Kick off the day with a narrated Tombstone Trolley Tour, giving you a scenic and informative look at this historic frontier town. Then, gather around the O.K. Corral for a live reenactment of the infamous gunfight that made Tombstone famous.

Lunch is included at the Crystal Palace Saloon, where the spirit of the Wild West lives on through hearty fare and old-time charm. Afterward, experience the Tombstone Historama, a multimedia show that brings the town’s colorful history to life. Step inside the Bird Cage Theatre, a preserved gem from Tombstone’s boomtown days, once home to card games, cabaret acts, and untold stories of the frontier.

The evening is yours to soak up the ambiance—stroll the boardwalks, duck into a saloon, or simply enjoy the town’s rich character at your own pace.

Day 4: Phoenix

Today we set off to explore some of Arizona’s most captivating and one-of-a-kind attractions. Our first stop is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum—a stunning blend of zoo, botanical garden, and natural history center—where desert life comes to vivid, interactive life. Wander through scenic trails, spot native wildlife, and marvel at the region’s rich biodiversity.

Next, we head to Phoenix for a visit to the world-class Musical Instrument Museum, home to thousands of instruments and musical treasures from across the globe. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of world cultures, and gain a deeper appreciation for the universal language of music.

We’ll pause midday for an included lunch at Café Allegro, the museum’s inviting eatery known for its fresh, seasonal flavors. Afterward, we continue to our hotel in the Phoenix area, where we’ll settle in for a four-night stay. Take the evening to unwind and get comfortable—there’s plenty of adventure still ahead.

Day 5: Phoenix

This morning, we’ll visit the renowned Heard Museum, celebrated for its extraordinary collection of Native American art and artifacts. As you explore, you’ll gain insight into the diverse traditions, stories, and histories of Indigenous peoples, brought to life through powerful exhibits and contemporary works.

Later, enjoy free time in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Stroll through sun-dappled streets lined with charming boutiques, vibrant galleries, and welcoming cafés. Whether you’re shopping for handcrafted treasures or simply soaking up the Southwest flair, this lively district offers something for everyone.

As the sun sets, we’ll come together for a memorable dinner at the Old Town Tortilla Factory. With its adobe charm, twinkling patio lights, and bold Southwestern flavors, it’s the perfect place to reflect on the day and savor a warm evening together.

Day 6: Phoenix

Our day begins with a visit to the S’edav Va’aki Museum—formerly the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park—where the ancient world of the Hohokam people comes vividly to life. Wander through remarkable ruins and thoughtfully curated exhibits that offer a window into Arizona’s earliest cultures and the ingenuity of those who once called this desert home.

Next, the spirit of the Wild West awaits at Goldfield Ghost Town, a restored mining settlement nestled at the foot of the Superstition Mountains. Delve into its colorful past with a guided tour of the historic Goldfield Mine, then climb aboard the Superstition Scenic Narrow Gauge Railroad for stories of miners, legends, and frontier life.

As the golden hour approaches, we’ll make our way to Canyon Lake for a spectacular Dolly Steamboat Twilight Dinner Cruise. Glide across the serene waters as cliffs are bathed in sunset hues and desert wildlife stirs along the shoreline. With a hearty meal and stunning views, it’s an evening full of timeless beauty and quiet wonder.

Day 7: Phoenix

We begin the day at Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Taliesin West, the architect’s winter home and desert laboratory nestled in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this stunning property reveals Wright’s deep connection to the landscape and his pioneering approach to organic architecture. Guided through its thoughtfully designed spaces, you’ll gain new insight into his visionary work and lasting influence.

Next, we make our way to the Queen Creek Olive Mill—Arizona’s only working olive farm and mill—for a flavorful and fun experience. Learn the art and science behind olive oil production during an engaging class that takes you from grove to bottle. Then, sit down to an included lunch crafted with farm-fresh ingredients and vibrant Southwestern flavors.
The evening is yours to enjoy however you wish. Unwind at the hotel, browse local shops, or simply savor one last desert sunset as your Arizona journey nears its end.

Day 8: Sedona

Today, we set out for the awe-inspiring red rock landscapes of Sedona—where natural beauty meets adventure and artistry.

Get ready for a thrill as we climb aboard the iconic Pink Jeep Tour, a signature Sedona experience. With expert guides at the wheel, you’ll traverse rugged trails and panoramic overlooks, taking in jaw-dropping views of canyons, mesas, and rock formations that seem to glow in the desert sun. It’s an exhilarating ride you won’t soon forget.

Afterward, you’ll have time to explore Tlaquepaque Village at your own pace. This enchanting arts and shopping district is brimming with artisan galleries, unique boutiques, and cozy cafes. Whether you’re browsing local creations or enjoying lunch on your own under the shade of sycamore trees, the village’s charm is undeniable.

This evening, we’ll settle into our hotel in Sedona and gather for a special Farewell Dinner—an opportunity to share stories, laughter, and one final toast to an unforgettable Arizona adventure.

Day 9: Home

It’s time to say goodbye to Arizona’s warm sunshine, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable experiences. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll make our way to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, carrying with us the stories and memories—from Tombstone’s legends to Sedona’s glowing sunsets—that have made this Winter Escape so special.

Upon arrival in Milwaukee, Lamers transportation will be waiting to bring you back to your original pickup location. And while your suitcase might be full of souvenirs, here’s hoping you tucked a little Arizona sunshine in your pocket to carry home with you.
