The Art Institute of Chicago
The Art Institute of Chicago is one of the oldest and most celebrated art museums in the United States, offering an inspiring journey through thousands of years of creativity from around the world. Visitors will encounter some of the most famous and recognizable works of art in the world. The museum is also home to Claude Monet’s serene Water Lilies, Vincent van Gogh’s intimate The Bedroom, and Edward Hopper’s iconic Nighthawks. Lunch will be on your own inside the museum, with several convenient and well loved options available. Choices include the Museum Café for classic sandwiches, soups, and salads, the Garden View Café with lighter fare and seasonal options, and the historic McKinlock Court Restaurant, which offers a more relaxed sit down dining experience in a beautiful setting. There is something for every taste and schedule, allowing you to dine at your own pace.
We will make a breakfast stop on the way to Chicago so everyone can start the day fueled and ready to explore. On the return trip, we will stop at the Lake Forest Oasis, offering restrooms, food options, and a comfortable break before heading home.
