Day 1
The day has arrived when we are finally going to Biloxi and New Orleans. We will have several stops along the way to stretch our legs before stopping for lunch at the Cracker Barrel in Crestview, Florida. After lunch, our next stop is the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park where we will tour the ship and other memorials honoring those men and women who have fought in all our modern wars. Battleship Memorial Park was founded as a memorial park that honors all veterans of all wars and the Fallen Hero 9/11 Memorial that pays tribute to all the Alabamians who have given their lives in service since 9/11.
LDay 2
Today we depart the Beau Rivage and travel to the WWII Museum in New Orleans, where you’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch. Afterward, we’ll visit the fascinating Mardi Gras World Museum before heading to the riverfront to board the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen. Before our evening dinner cruise, you’ll have free time to shop at the nearby outlets or try your luck at Harrah’s Casino.
L, DDay 3
Today when we depart our hotel, we will head to the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and home for a tour before it opens to the public. After our tour and some free time to explore the grounds, we leave to have lunch on our own at Mulate's, the famous original Creole Restaurant in New Orleans. This afternoon, enjoy a Royal Carriage Tour of the French Quarter before meeting the bus to return to the Beau Rivage for the evening.
Day 4
Today we bid a fond farewell to the Beau Rivage and begin our journey home. Our first stop takes us to the Richards DAR Museum in Mobile, where we’ll tour this elegant antebellum mansion, built in 1860 by Charles and Caroline Richards. Afterward, enjoy a delightful tea and cookies service in the dining room. We’ll then continue on to Lambert’s Café in Foley, Alabama, famous for its fun atmosphere and “throwed rolls.” Before crossing back into Florida, we’ll make a lighthearted stop at Buc-ee’s. As on our journey south, we’ll make several breaks along the way to stretch, grab a snack, and relax before the final leg home.
