We begin the day with a morning comfort stop before arriving in Madison.
Our first stop is Olbrich Botanical Gardens, where guests can enjoy time on their own to explore the stunning outdoor gardens. In May, the gardens are coming alive with spring color, featuring flowering trees, tulips, perennials, and thoughtfully designed landscapes along the shores of Lake Monona. Stroll paved paths, relax among the blooms, and take in the peaceful setting at your own pace.
Next, we head to Great Dane Brewing Company for an included lunch. Guests can select their preferred entrée when making their reservation. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and classic Wisconsin fare, Great Dane offers a satisfying midday stop and time to sit back, enjoy good food, and recharge.
1. New London Bridge Fish Fry- Two pieces of haddock in Pecks Pilsner batter. Served with tartar sauce, coleslaw, lemon, and pub fries.
2. Wisconsin Style Cheddar Mac- Creamy Wisconsin cheddar, gruyere, and parmesan cheese sauce with cheddar sourdough breadcrumbs. Served with a pretzel roll.
3. Pesto Grilled Chicken Sandwich- Grilled pesto marinated chicken breast with spinach and artichoke spread, tomato, smoked mozzarella, and pesto aioli on sourdough bread. Served with kettle chips.
4. Pub Burger- Fresh beef burger cooked to medium with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on a hamburger bun. Served with kettle chips.
In the afternoon, we visit Allen Centennial Garden for a guided tour. Located on the University of Wisconsin Madison campus, this beautifully curated garden showcases a wide variety of plants, themed garden spaces, and seasonal displays. A knowledgeable guide will share insight into the gardens design, history, and spring highlights, making this stop both informative and enjoyable. We will stop for dinner on your own.
ALL deposits are due within seven (7) days of reservation by credit card or check. A 3% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions.
