Spend the day immersed in powerful music and unforgettable storytelling as we travel to Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll, Illinois, for a matinee performance of Les Misérables.
Relax and enjoy convenient pick ups before we head south, with a scheduled comfort stop along the way. Late morning brings us to a local favorite, Copper Cow, where an included lunch gives you time to unwind, visit with friends, and get ready for the afternoon’s main event.
At 2:00 PM, the curtain rises on Les Misérables, the sweeping story of Jean Valjean, a man rebuilding his life after prison while being relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert. Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, the story follows ordinary people caught up in love, loss, sacrifice, and the hope for a better future. The story is told through deeply personal moments that make it easy to connect to.
The show features beloved songs like “I Dreamed a Dream,” “One Day More,” and “Do You Hear the People Sing?” The music carries the emotion of the story and tends to linger with you long after the final curtain, making this a truly memorable afternoon at the theater.
Following the performance, we will begin our comfortable return trip home, with an additional comfort stop as needed.
