La Crosse Queen Cruise

Travel with us on a beautiful summer day to La Crosse, Wisconsin, along the Upper Mississippi River. We begin the day with a quick morning comfort stop before arriving in La Crosse for the highlight of the tour, a relaxing three hour lunch cruise aboard the La Crosse Queen.

During the narrated cruise, the La Crosse Queen travels the Mississippi River’s main channel, offering views of the river, wooded islands, and the limestone bluffs that define this stretch of the Upper Mississippi. Guests will learn about the river’s history, local wildlife, river commerce, and the role the Mississippi continues to play in the region today. Conditions permitting, the boat will pass through Lock and Dam No. 7, giving passengers a rare, up close look at how the lock system raises and lowers vessels on the river.

An included lunch is served on board, and is a buffet catered by Castaway’s. The meal includes baked ham, herb baked chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, brown sugar glazed carrots, dinner rolls with butter, dessert, and complimentary coffee or iced tea. Additional beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails, and other non alcoholic options, are available for purchase.

After the cruise, enjoy time on your own to explore downtown La Crosse. Stroll along Riverside Park and the riverfront, browse locally owned boutiques and specialty shops, or stop into one of the many cafés, bakeries, and ice cream shops in the historic downtown district. The compact, walkable area makes it easy to enjoy at your own pace.

On the return trip home, we will stop at Culver’s for an optional dinner on your own.
