Afterward, we continue south to Indianapolis, where the evening is yours to unwind, mingle with fellow travelers, and settle into the ease and comfort of the Drury Inn, knowing that the beauty and elegance of French Lick await.
The heart of our trip lies in the grandeur of French Lick Resort and the stories it holds. Upon arrival, a knowledgeable guide leads you through a two-hour tour of this historic resort town, a place that has welcomed travelers for over a century to its mineral springs, spas, and grand hotels. Stroll its halls, admire the elegant architecture, and take in the resort’s storied past, from 18th-century trading post to luxury destination. After a leisurely lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore—wander the quaint streets of this charming town, relax in the resort’s spa, or simply soak in the serene surroundings, letting the gentle pace of the day melt away any cares.
Adventure continues with hands-on experiences that showcase the region’s natural beauty and local culture. Cruise across Patoka Lake, surrounded by rolling hills and tranquil waters, before enjoying lunch and a tasting at the Patoka Lake Winery, where the flavors and stories of the land come alive. Later, step aboard the French Lick Scenic Railway, a nostalgic journey through picturesque countryside that invites you to slow down and savor each moment. DAY 1: Indianapolis
Our getaway begins with an easy motorcoach ride south as we make our first stop at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, Indiana along the Indiana border. Enjoy a hearty farm-style lunch, known for fresh ingredients, warm hospitality, and some of the best ice cream in the state. It's the perfect start to our relaxing adventure.
We continue our road trip and arrive in time to unwind at the Drury Inn Indianapolis. Settle into your room, mingle with new friends, and enjoy a restful evening ahead. The comforts of a peaceful night's stay prepare us for the charm of French Lick waiting on tomorrow's horizon.
DAY 2: French Lick
After an included breakfast, we board the coach and make our way to French Lick, Indiana - a picturesque resort town in southern Indiana celebrated for its historic mineral springs, grand hotels, and elegant amenities. For over a century, visitors have traveled here to soak in the healing waters, stroll the opulent architecture, and enjoy world-class hospitality.
Today, French Lick continues to offer something for everyone: spa indulgence, golf, nature, history, entertainment, and even a casino.
Upon arrival, we are greeted at the magnificent French Lick Resort in West Baden, where a local guide leads us on a two-hour tour through the resort's rich history and stunning architecture - an unforgettable introduction to this 18th-century trading post turned luxury escape. Afterward, we gather for a delicious lunch at the hotel.
The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy at leisure. Wander the charming downtown, stroll the grounds, indulge in a spa treatment, or simply relax beneath the breathtaking domed atrium.
Dinner is on your own tonight-either at the resort or in the delightful town nearby. This is your getaway to do as much or as little as you like.
DAY 3: French Lick
This morning, we head out to enjoy the natural beauty of southern Indiana with an included scenic cruise on Patoka Lake, gliding across calm waters surrounded by rolling forested hills. Afterward, we continue to Patoka Lake Winery for lunch and a tasting of their locally crafted wines - an afternoon filled with flavor, scenery, and relaxation.
Later, we step aboard the French Lick Scenic Railway, where the gentle rhythm of the train and sweeping countryside views create a nostalgic journey back in time. After the ride, we return to the resort with the rest of the evening free to unwind, explore, dine, or enjoy your favorite amenities one last time.
DAY 4: Homeward
After an early breakfast and a final chance to savor the peaceful atmosphere of the resort, we pack up and say farewell to French Lick, but not before one more highlight. We stop at Spring Mill State Park for a guided tour and included lunch at the Pioneer Village, where historic buildings, demonstrations, and stories bring Indiana's 19th-century past to life.
With hearts full and new memories made, we continue our journey back north, returning home with the ease, comfort, and charm of French Lick still lingering, along with the friendships formed along the way.
