lakes and canals of Winter Haven’s famous Chain of
Lakes.
About “The
Chain”
The Chain of Lakes is the heart of Winter Haven — a
beautiful network of 22 freshwater lakes connected by scenic
canals, covering more than 9,000 acres. The North Chain has 8
lakes, the South Chain has 14, and a lock system connects the
two.
As we cruise Lake Eloise, you’ll pass by Legoland Florida, which now incorporates the historic Cypress Gardens — Florida’s first theme park, opened in 1936, with its original botanical gardens preserved.

Views
Keep your eyes (and binoculars) ready! You may spot alligators,
otters, turtles, bald eagles, blue herons, pelicans, cranes,
anhingas, white ibis, and more.
On Board
Our 20–22 foot pontoon boat features comfortable
seating, drink holders, and a bimini top for shade. The cruise
departs at 11:30 a.m.
Lunch
Stop
After the cruise, we’ll dock at Harborside Restaurant on
Lake Shipp for lunch (on your own). Guests love
Harborside’s cozy atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and
varied, affordable menu.
Tip: Heading north for the season? This is the perfect way to experience the Chain of Lakes before you go!
Be advised that the bus will be stopping at all three pick-up points (Wildwood, Inverness and Ocala) for this and all tours.
