Blessings of the Season

Enjoy a spectacular holiday tour with us as we travel to the Basilica of St. Josaphat, located in Milwaukee. This magnificent Basilica is designed after St. Peter’s in Rome, Italy. View the murals, stained-glass and amazing architecture which are all tributes to Milwaukee’s history and heritage. For over one hundred years, the Basilica of St. Josaphat has soared over the rooftops of Milwaukee. We will enjoy a guided tour while hearing the history of the Basilica, how it was built and later, carefully restored.

Next, we travel to the Old World 3rd Street district to enjoy our included lunch at Mader’s German Restaurant. Mader’s has been a local favorite since 1902, offering an authentic German atmosphere filled with medieval weaponry, traditional steins, intricate wood carvings, and beautiful glassware throughout the restaurant. You can choose your entrée from the options below:

1. Wiener Schnitzel

   - Lightly breaded tender pork cutlet served with spätzle and sauerkraut

2. Open Face Rueben Sandwich

   - Sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, house made sauerkraut served on rye toast with Reuben sauce, served with french fries

3. Marinated Breast of Chicken Sandwich

   - Served on a Milwaukee pretzel roll with lettuce, tomato, and Swiss cheese, served with German potato salad

All entrées are served with a house salad, bread service, apple strudel, coffee and soda.

Afterwards, we are guests at the Pabst Mansion for their nationally recognized annual Christmas celebration with a self-guided tour. See the Mansion’s rooms elegantly transformed by area designers and florists, all decked out in Victorian-era holiday splendor. The Flemish Renaissance Mansion of Captain Frederick Pabst was completed in 1982 and was considered the crown jewel of Milwaukee’s famous avenue of mansions. The mansion has NEW decorations each year. Christmas at the Pabst Mansion is a holiday tradition not to be missed. From sparkling winter wonderlands to decorations bursting with color, everyone is sure to find their favorite tree.

Before heading home, we will make our final stop at Mayfair Mall for a Christmas shopping opportunity with over 160 stores and restaurants. Come along for the day to experience the magic of the holiday season!
