Clues & Cars: Mystery Train and Historic Fords
You don’t need to leave the Sunshine State to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind getaway! This two-day adventure invites you to see Fort Myers in a new light—through its rich history, scenic beauty, and a dash of intrigue. We’ll begin with a relaxing ride aboard our motorcoach to Palmetto, where you’ll enjoy a riverfront lunch overlooking the sparkling Manatee River. From there, the excitement builds as we check into our hotel before stepping aboard the famous Murder Mystery Train. Over a multi-course dinner, you’ll be drawn into an interactive whodunit where you and your fellow travelers help solve the case. It’s an unforgettable evening of laughter, suspense, and good food.
The next morning, we’ll step back in time at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers. Wander through lush botanical gardens, explore fascinating museums, and soak in the stories of two of America’s greatest innovators. To make the day even more special, the Antique Ford Car Show will be in full swing, with beautifully restored classics on display. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or simply enjoy history and gardens, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Lunch is available from a variety of food vendors, giving you the freedom to spend the afternoon as you wish. By mid-afternoon, we’ll head home—bringing back not just souvenirs and snapshots, but new friendships and memories from a Florida getaway that proves you don’t need to travel far to find something extraordinary.
Day 1
• Board our comfortable motorcoach and enjoy a relaxing ride.
• Savor a delicious lunch at The Riverhouse Restaurant in Palmetto, known for its stunning views of the Manatee River and charming historic district setting.
• Check into the Hampton Inn Airport, Fort Myers, with time to freshen up before the evening’s excitement.
• Step aboard the Murder Mystery Train, where you’ll enjoy a full-course dinner and take part in solving a thrilling whodunit as the story unfolds around you.
• Then, return to the hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 2
• Spend the day at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, where history, innovation, and natural beauty come together.
• Explore the museum, wander through the 21-acre botanical gardens, or admire the incredible antique Fords on display at the Antique Car Show.
• Lunch is available from a variety of on-site food vendors, giving you time to enjoy at your own pace.
• Depart mid-afternoon, heading home with new memories, fresh experiences, and maybe even a new appreciation for the treasures tucked right here in Florida.
