Victorian Christmas Stroll & Ybor City

Located in the former Tampa Bay Hotel and currently on the University of Tampa campus, we embark on the annual Victorian Christmas Stroll in The Henry B. Plant Museum.

This event transports visitors back to the elegance and charm of the Victorian era with beautifully decorated rooms, featuring elaborate Christmas trees, garlands, antique holiday décor, and period furnishings. During the tour, visitors can wander through the historic hotel-turned-museum built in 1891 by railroad magnate Henry B. Plant. The building’s stunning Moorish Revival architecture provides a magical backdrop for viewing the festive holiday displays and embracing Florida’s history and culture.

After our museum stroll, we journey to the iconic Spanish-Cuban Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, serving guests since 1905. Columbia is the oldest restaurant in Florida and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world! Flavorful cuisine from the Spanish buffet is included in our tour. After lunch, Max our tour guide, will lead us through the historical district, now a national landmark, of Ybor City. Did you know that Ybor City was once the Cigar Capital of the World? Max has remarkable stories to share and locations to explore.
