The Basilica, Blooms & Bavarian Bites Tour

We travel to the Basilica of St. Josaphat, located in Milwaukee. This magnificent Basilica is designed after St. Peter’s in Rome, Italy. View the murals, stained-glass and amazing architecture which are all tributes to Milwaukee’s history and heritage. For over one hundred years, the Basilica of St. Josaphat has soared over the rooftops of Milwaukee. We will enjoy a guided tour while hearing the history of the Basilica, how it was built, and later, carefully restored.

Next, we travel to the Old World 3rd Street district to enjoy our included lunch at Mader’s Restaurant. Mader’s has been a local favorite since 1902 and the setting is influenced by Germany with many medieval pieces of weaponry, steins, wood carvings and glassware throughout.

Following lunch, we are guests at the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory Domes. Feel the heat of a desert oasis, the humidity of a tropical jungle and the bright colors of a floral garden…all at one destination! The Domes are living museums filled with plants from across the globe.
