Hosted by the Tarpon Springs Merchants Association, this beloved annual event brings together the best of food, culture, and coastal charm in downtown Tarpon Springs. While the fresh seafood is the main attraction, the festival offers much more than delicious bites. Visitors can enjoy a culinary competition featuring top local chefs, browse nautical-themed arts and crafts, and explore vendors offering fishing gear, kitchen tools, and of course—natural sea sponges.

In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, local businesses are especially grateful for the support of both residents and visitors. Alongside food vendors, you'll find a wide variety of Greek and American restaurants throughout the area. Be sure to stop by Hellas Bakery—famous for its decadent Greek pastries, overflowing dessert cases, and creamy ice cream.

Tarpon Springs is renowned for having the world’s largest selection of natural sea sponges. Don’t miss two local icons during your visit:

• Spongeorama Sponge Factory – A quirky mix of retail and history, this spot features a gift shop, a small museum, and a free vintage sponge-diving film that captures the area's heritage.

• The Sponge Factory – Located just next door, this shop offers an even larger selection of natural sponges, plus handmade soaps and all-natural skincare products.
