Rail & River Cruising

Rail & River Cruising

Travel with us to the East Troy Electric Railroad in East Troy, where we experience a relaxing 7-mile round trip ride through Wisconsin’s countryside aboard a historic electric railcar. Learn the history dating back to 1907 of this old rail line in the East Troy Depot Museum, see a scale model trolley layout and browse the gift shop’s array of railroad items.

On the return trolley ride we make a special stop at the Elegant Farmer. This upscale shopping experience was even featured on the Food Channel. Here you will find all the goodness of homemade, fresh picked and delicious offerings in their Farm Kitchen Bakery, Deli & Market. Elegant Farmer is also home to the award-winning Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag.

Afterwards, we travel a short distance to Greenfield, where we enjoy an included family-style lunch at Meyer’s Restaurant. Enjoy fried chicken,

center cut pork loin, a cup of soup, fresh bread, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, vegetables, cranberry sauce and pudding for dessert.

The highlight of our day is a one-and-a-half hour cruise on the Edelweiss. Aboard, we enjoy breathtaking views of Milwaukee’s lakefront and downtown areas. Our narrative tour will teach us the history of Milwaukee’s Breweries, German heritage and about local manufacturers. Our boat ride allows us scenic views through downtown underneath the bridges, cruising past historical landmarks while getting a front row view of the skyline.

Come along with us for a ride on both land & water!

Please note: We take a short break both directions.
