Pigeon Forge & The Biltmore w/Chihuly

Join Lamers on an exhilarating 6-day tour to Pigeon Forge in the Smoky Mountains.  Enjoy three dinner shows: a country stampede, a feud with the Hatfields & McCoys and a swashbuckling adventure with a ship full of pirates.  We’ll take a ride above the tree tops on the Ober Mountain Aerial Tramway after having a tickle your funny bone lunch at Dick’s Last Resort.  Our days are brimming with additional attractions and activities.

 

In Ashville, NC, on day five of our adventure, we will explore the Biltmore Estate in the morning and enjoy lunch at the Stables before immersing our senses in the amazing Chihuly exhibit which was specially curated for the Biltmore.  The brilliant colors of his glass creations will impress and surprise you.

 

Our final stop on this unique tour is Charleston, SC where we will rest our weary heads before exploring the City Market and heading home on our final day.

Day 1

We start our journey with a stop in Atlanta to enjoy lunch at The Varsity, a renown Atlanta landmark that is famous for their hot dogs. After lunch we will take a self-guided tour of Coca Cola and sample the different flavors of Coke from around the world. You will have a chance to shop for your Coke souvenirs before boarding the bus and heading to the Fairfield Inn in Chattenooga for a well earned rest.

Day 2

After breakfast we will board the bus and travel to Pigeon Forge, TN. Lunch today will be on your own at The Islands where you can shop after your delicious lunch. We will leave The Islands at approximately 3:00 p.m. to check into our hotel, Music Road Resort, to freshen up before leaving for the Dolly Stampede Pre-Show and the Dolly Stampede. At the conclusion of the show we will return to our hotel for a good night's rest.

Day 3

After a delicious breakfast, we board the bus to meet our Step-On Guide for a tour of the Smoky Mountains National Park, this is the country's most-visited national park. Our tour of the park will leave you with a smile and a last impression. Lunch today will be a rib tickling experience at Dick's Last Stand where the food is delicious, the staff insulting and the jokes never ending. In our afternoon, we will catch the Ober Mountain Aerial Tram for an aerial view of the rolling Smokies, a view that is breathtaking no matter what time of year. We leave the Tram and head to our hotel for a quick freshen up before heading to out Hatfields and McCoys Dinner Show. After the show we will return to our hotel for a good nights rest.

Day 4

Today we are getting a start a little later. Our first stop is The Christmas Place, a festive wonderland where Christmas lives all year around. The Christmas Place is a premier shopping destination in the South and one of the most beloved in the entire country. Lunch today is on your own at The Grist Mill; after which you can wander among the many shops getting ideas for the coming Holidays. Tonight we will leave the hotel and enjoy the Pirates Dinner Show where we are invited to joing Blackbeard and his band of pirates as they battle on the ship, on the land and in the lagoon. You will be amazed by the mermaids, tropical birds while enjoying your delicious dinner.

Day 5

Today is the day we have been waiting for, this morning we tour the Biltmore House, America's largest home and nattional treasure, built by George Vanderbilt. Today Biltmore remains a family business with fourth and fifth generations of George Vanderfilt's descendants involved in the day-to-day operations. Together with their 2,000 member staff they continue the mission to preserve this national treasure. Lunch today is at the Stables on the Biltmore Estate before our tour of the Chihuly exhibit which was especially created for the Biltmore. The shapes and colors will astound you. At the conculsion of the tour we will board the bus and head to Charleston, SC for our overnight.

Day 6

This morning before heading home we will explore the Charleston City Market, one of the nation's oldest public markets. There are more than 300 entrepreneurs selling everything from Sweetgrass baskets to bar-b-que. There are plenty of things to see, taste and try. Be sure to purchase your lunch for our trip back home.
