Chicago Museum of Science & Industry

The  Griffin Museum of Science and Industry  (MSI), formerly known as the Museum of Science and Industry, is a science museum located in Chicago.

It is one of the largest science museums in the world—is home to more than 400,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits designed to spark scientific inquiry and creativity. The museum has over 2,000 exhibits, displayed in 75 major halls. The museum has several major permanent exhibits. The knowledge and memories you'll gain on the tours, experiences and events at Griffin MSI are just as unforgettable as our exhibits. Our facilitators, experts, special guests and volunteers bring their subjects to life.

 

There is a Giant Dome Theater where you will see a film that takes you on scientific adventure so big, they barely fit inside Chicago's only five-story, domed wraparound movie theater.

Oceans: Our Blue Planet takes you on a global odyssey to discover the earth's largest and least explored habitat will be the movie you will be seeing.  New ocean science and technology allows us to go further into the unknown than ever thought possible. From the coastal shallows to deeper, more mysterious worlds, the film reveals the untold stories of the oceans' most astonishing creatures. Dolphins leap for joy. The ingenious tusk fish uses a tool to open its food. Uncover a spectacular world of life beneath the waves.

 

A James Bond exhibit will also be included in your admission ticket.

 

The tour requires a considerable amount of walking at the museum.

 

There will be a lunch voucher included in the museum package that includes choice of one entree, one side, and one canned water or fountain soda.
