A Day in Winter Park

Leaving the dock on Lake Osceola, passengers observe swaying palms, towering cypress trees, lush ferns or perhaps a lazy alligator basking in the sun during the hour-long lake and canal tour of the pristine Winter Park chain of lakes. The dock is located less than five minutes from Park Avenue, Central Florida’s popular, tree-lines upscale shopping district which offers over sixty upscale retailers and a variety of acclaimed restaurants for the casual or fine dining.

After the boat tour, purchase lunch at one of the chic bistros or sidewalk cafes and re-energize for shopping and visiting the museum.

This multi-faceted day tour also includes admission to the Morse Museum of American Art which houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany. One of the highlights here includes the chapel interior Tiffany designed for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Art and architectural objects from Tiffany’s celebrated home, Laurelton Hall, are also on exhibit.  The work of Louis Comfort Tiffany is the centerpiece of the Morse Museum collection. The museum features fine examples in every medium that Tiffany he explored in every period of his life.
