A Blast From The Past-Wade House

A Blast From The Past-Wade House

Spend an afternoon at the Wade House in Greenbush

View Dates & Book

We begin our day with an included buffet lunch at Amore Banquet Hall in Plymouth.

Go back in time before groups traveled by bus and see a community where Yankee refinement met the Wisconsin wilderness, with a visit to the historic Wade House stagecoach hotel in Greenbush. Take a horse-drawn wagon ride back in time to and from the historic site to learn how your relatives lived before indoor plumbing, electricity and the automobile.  A visit to the site’s historic area includes a guided tour of the 3-story, 27-room Wade House built in 1850 and enjoy presentations by costumed staff in both the Dockstader Blacksmith Shop and the Herrling Sawmill.

Tour the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum and Visitor Center featuring the state’s largest collection of horse-drawn vehicles. Through the last 60 years the Wade House Historic Site has been welcoming visitors and has grown in size to 240 acres.

Before we leave, we will have time to wander through their Gift Shop.

Afterwards, we stop in Fond du Lac at Kelley Country Creamery for an included dish of old-fashioned premium ice cream.

The Kelley family has been churning homemade ice cream as a treat for generations.
